9/11 Memorial Stair Climb 2018-Chattanooga, TN

After the attacks on New York City on 9/11, many vowed to Never Forget those First Responders and Civilians who’s lives ended far too soon during those tragic events. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Chattanooga Fire Department are just a few of those patriots who work to keep their memory and sacrifice alive.

To keep their promise to Never Forget, the CFD teams up with the NFFF every year to honor the 343 fallen firefighters of 9/11 in a stair climbing event in Downtown Chattanooga. At the event participants include civilians and firefighters in full gear who climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center, all while wearing the name and photo of a 9/11 fallen firefighter. This year FirstOn Socks had the incredible opportunity to attend this event and design our “343: Never Forget” Performance Crew Sock to memorialize these fallen heroes.

The NFFF puts on over 50 of these stair climbing events around the country, raising money for victims’ families, coworkers, and stations.
